Spine and Back Pain

The Cross with the Cross …

Those who suffer from back pain, are far from alone, as demonstrated by the following data:  -Approx. 80% of the population will suffer from back pain at least once in their lifetime.

Remedy and Treatment:

Pain left insufficiently treated remains in the nerves’ memory. If sensory nerve cells are constantly exposed to pain impulses, their activity changes and stimulus increases in sensitivity.  In order to prevent this pain memory activation and thus chronic pain of the event, early treatment with interventional fluoroscopy is a targeted method of great importance.

Advanced medical technology of radio frequency and other high-tech methods for tissue damage are brought to use for chronic and acute (back) pain after being scientifically evaluated and continuously evolving standards from experienced doctors under fluoroscopic millimeter-precision are utilized.

Functional Spinal Unit (Spine-Where does it hurt?)

The spine consists of the individual vertebral bones (from top to bottom: 7 cervical, 12 thoracic and lumbar vertebrae 5-6, sacrum and coccyx). The intervertebral discs serve as  flexible connection slices. The spinal column itself is built on three pillars: the front, the intervertebral discs, the actual vertebral body and both sides go arcuately from the articular surfaces of the adjacent vertebrae to the back. These intervertebral joints are thus the two rear pillars’ stability.

The erector spinae, so-called autochthonous muscles, as well as the abdominal muscles work as important supports.

Intervertebral discs

The disc is flexible cartilage with a soft core and is surrounded by a hard fiber ring.
